Foundation Programme

JA College offers a recognised university foundation programme as a fast-track pathway programme to progress into leading universities in UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and others. This programme is called International Foundation Year (IFY) equivalent to high-school qualifications such as A Level or IB Diploma.

What Subjects Are Available in The Foundation Programme

In the Foundation Programme, you must study four subjects in which English for Academic Purposes (EAP) is mandatory. The remaining three subjects will depend on the university major you want to take in your Bachelor’s degree programme. Subjects you can choose from:

National Curriculum Requirements
Sekolah Menangah Atas 2 – SMA 2
Completion of SMA 2 with an average grade of 70% or better, including English and Maths.
Sekolah Menangah Atas 2 – SMA 3
Completion of SMA 3 with an average grade of 65% or better, including English and Maths.
International Curriculum Requirements
AS Level
Minimum of 2 E Grades from a UK A-Level board.
A Level
1 E Grade from a UK A-Level board.
IGCSE
4 C Grades, including Maths and English.
International Baccalaureate (IB)
Successful completion with a minimum of 22 points.
IB MYP
International Baccalaureate (IB)
